Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, the provider gives us your email address and may provide your name. Jam Lineup stores your normalized email address and display name. We do not receive your provider password or save your provider profile photo in the Jam Lineup database.
If you use the service, we also store the information you choose to add, including jam-session details, venue addresses and coordinates, song and instrument proposals, preferred keys, notes, organizer assignments, and lineup activity.
When you ask to find nearby sessions, your browser shares coordinates for that search. We use them to calculate distance and do not store the search coordinates in your Jam Lineup account.
How we use information
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Show your chosen display name with your public music activity.
- Operate session discovery, proposals, organizer tools, and live lineups.
- Respond to support, privacy, and safety requests.
- Prevent abuse and maintain the reliability of the service.
Public information
Public sessions can show their name, schedule, venue, city, address, location, description, running order, proposals, instruments, and participants’ display names. Your sign-in email is not shown on public session pages. Organizers may use an email address to invite an existing Jam Lineup account as a co-organizer.
Service providers
Cloudflare processes and stores data for hosting, database, security, and email-routing services. Google, Apple, and Meta process information when you choose their sign-in option. These providers handle data under their own privacy policies. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Retention and security
We keep account and activity data while it is needed to provide Jam Lineup, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We use a secure session cookie, access controls, and Cloudflare’s platform protections. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can change your public display name in your profile and edit or withdraw eligible proposals. You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. We may need to verify that the request belongs to you.
Children
Jam Lineup is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and remove it.
Contact
Email privacy questions or requests to privacy@jamlineup.com. We may update this policy as the service changes and will publish the new date on this page.
